The Hundreds in your hands... by on Wed, 02 May 2012 12:27:00 GMT:
First up we have The Hundreds Burners Union Mens Tee in Black. According to their website, this tee is at the heart of The Hundreds ethos...  "We at The Hundreds are all a part of a union.  That’s right, it’s the Bridge Burners Union – full of hard working troublemakers that don’t take crap from anyone." The tee features a solid bomb logo on the back at the top.

Here we have the "Stop It Slant" Mens Tee in black. With a classic-style Hundreds logo on a slant, it's urban streetwear style of the highest order.

The "Listen" tee is inspired by the "Listen To Black Sabbath" tees that were around in the 2000s. Now that the Sabbath reunion shows have been re-badged as "Ozzy Osbourne and Friends", it's probably a better idea to Listen to The Hundreds. They talk sense...

Outside of the tees, the Reloaded Jacket in Navy/Heather is a new spin on an old favourite. It’s a nylon and wool/acrylic hooded jacket with snap closure, with embroidery and felt appliques at front chest and “HUGE” embroidery and self-fabric applique at back.

Finally, we have one of The Hundreds awesome snapbacks, The Player Snapback in black,  one of many that can be found in stock at The Alternative Store.

Rebel8 at The Alternative Store by on Thu, 26 Apr 2012 21:08:38 GMT:
It's no secret that here at The Alternative Store we're big fans of Mike Giant and Joshy D's Rebel8 brand. There's something about their mix of tattoo, street and graffiti influences that makes Rebel8 one of the most iconic and visually-striking brands.

The latest drop of Rebel8 is now in stock and flying out of the door, so we thought it'd be a good idea to feature some of the items here. First up, we have the Rebel8 Rosalie III Tee in Black.

Also available in a white colourway, the Rosalie III Tee has everything that is great about Rebel8 - classic tattoo-inspired design, stunning iconography and an instantly recognisable style.

Also in the Rosalie III range, Rebel8 offer a wallet based on the same striking design.

As well as their tees, Rebel8 also offer a range of awesome jackets and outerwear, such as the Rebel8 Infinite Reversible Jacket.

Arguably the best item in this current range, this padded jacket is embroidered on the back of the neck with the Rebel 8 wreath logo and is embroidered on the left chest with R8 script. Being reversible, all of the design elements feature on the other side of the jacket, which is a shiny dark maroon colour.

Rounding out the selection is the Rebel8 The Block Snapback. This maroon snapback cap from Rebel 8 features a Rebel8 motif on front and snapback detail on the back, and is a guaranteed classic already.

Many Rebel8 items sell out in super-fast time, so head over now to The Alternative Store to check out our full range of Rebel8 Clothing, Hats and Accessories.
The Quiet Life at The Alternative Store by on Tue, 24 Apr 2012 15:06:56 GMT:
Though life is always far from quiet at The Alternative Store, one of our fave new streetwear brands is The Quiet Life (note: you know when a play on words seems like a good idea, but actually isn't? Yeaaaah...)

The Quiet Life is a small project from Los Angeles that is run by Andy Mueller and Jennifer Pitt. The Quiet Life have a habit of bringing out classy T-shirts such as the Joy Division-inspired Joy tee (pictured above) and their trademark apparel offers a stylish alternative to many other identikit streetwear brands.

The Aloha tee features a distinctive photographic design by Sam Smyth and is just the kind of eyecatching apparel that makes The Quiet Life such a hot brand.

Along with apparel, The Quiet Life also do a fine line in caps, such as the Painted Lines Starter Cap (above).

Similar in style to the Aloha tee, The Quiet Life 'The End' Black Tee also features a detailed photographic print designed by Andrew Neuheus.

Crooks and Castles Clothing at The Alternative Store by on Tue, 17 Apr 2012 16:32:00 GMT:
Here at The Alternative Store, we're all about cutting edge streetwear brands. A firm favourite at The Alternative Store HQ for a while now is Crooks and Castles, whose mission statement is reason enough to check them out.

That and the awesome designs, such as the Medusa Ropes Black Tee (below)

Their website states "After years of learning the in’s and out’s of the business by starting a brand without knowledge of how to start or run a clothing company, we’ve finally come to this…”Crooks & Castles”! The concept was easy. “Crooks”, criminals, pimps, hustlers, thieves, etc. And “Castles” those who got rich by becoming a crook. From the robber barons of the early times like the Vanderbilts, the Rockerfellers, the Carnegies, to the modern day billionaires-Bill Gates & Microsoft. Those who stopped at nothing to get their “Castle”. We too hope one day to be the next rich crook." Can't argue with that...

Pictured above left we have the Crooks and Castles Scoundrel Letterman Jacket, an innovative spin on a contemporary classic design, while above right is the Crooks and Castles Criminal Degree Tee.

Rounding out our Crooks and Castles preview is the Air Guns Snapback, proving that whether you're after a killer tee, a stylish Letterman jacket or a classic snapback, Crooks and Castles has it covered.
